Konica hexar manual focus

 · The Hexar is an AutoFocus camera. It can be set manually (and sometimes really should, read below), but the AF on the camera is too good to be true for a Point and Shoot camera, since it has a step AF. That’s right boys and girls, from closest distance to infinity is steps with the Hexar! The Konica Hexar Titanium. Focus: Focusing system: active-infrared autofocus or manual adjustment Max aperture: f/2,0 - f/22 Shutter speeds: 30 seconds to 1/th Film speed: ASA 25 - , manual setting Power supply: 2 x 2CR5 (6 volt lithium battery) Size: Length ,5 (W) x (H) x (D) mm mm Weight: g without batteries. While the Hexar does have manual focus over-ride, in practical terms it is so awkward to use it's a waste of time to most photogs; Meter cell window on camera front in traditional self timer position. Photog's fingers may obscure meter and IR focusing beam if not careful. Top speed 1/th, this can be a major disadvantage to some shooters.

This Konica Hexar RF is Leica-mount, manual focus rangefinder camera. It uses all LEICA lenses, as well as Leica-mount lenses from Konica and others.. The Konica Hexar RF is a great camera on its own, but sadly collectors have bid the used price up to levels that make it silly to buy. btw, you manually focus the camera by pushing two buttons in sequence. First you push the 'MF' button which shows a read-out of a number which is focus distance, then you push an up or down button to adjust the numbers. You have only the distance numbers to go by, you can't look through the viewfinder and use a focus patch to focus. Focus remains locked until the shutter release is pressed fully or the button released. Manual focus is initiated by a button on the top plate of the camera. Focus is adjusted by reading the focus distance from the top-mounted LCD and adjusted with the "+" and "-" buttons. A single button can be pressed to lock focus at infinity.

It's certainly a step down from the manual focus control of the Contax T2, which is a much smaller camera. It also has a focus. The Konica Hexar, first released in , is a fixed-lens, one step exposure setting in manual mode, guide number setting, and infra red film setting. Aug I have recently acquired a Konica Hexar in seemingly outstanding the auto focus and set the focus manually, to the wrong setting?
